Streamer dashboard

Commands

Custom commands are how viewers talk to the bot. This page centrally manages every command's enablement, cooldown, aliases and permissions — regardless of which module the command belongs to.

What it solves

"Where's the Discord", "what game is this", "what's your setup" — the same questions come up several times every stream. Commands let you write the answer once. More importantly, commands from every module (points, check-in, songs, queue…) are configured on this one page, so changing a cooldown doesn't mean hopping between five different modules.

Getting started

  1. Find the command on the Commands page and enable it.
  2. Set its cooldown and viewer permissions.
  3. Optionally add an alias so the same feature answers to a second name.

Common misconceptions

  • Commands are disabled by default. Enabling a module does not automatically switch on its commands — deliberately so, since otherwise turning on a module would suddenly add a batch of commands you didn't ask for.
  • Aliases need the ! prefix typed in, and can't contain spaces. Nothing is prepended for you; "hi" and "!hi" are two different triggers.
  • The cooldown slider stopping at 300 seconds isn't the maximum. Type a larger value in the field beside it — up to 24 hours.
  • Commands triggered through a bound custom reward bypass permissions and cooldowns. The binding is the authorisation, so that path still works even when the command is disabled. To limit frequency, set a cooldown or per-user limit on the Twitch reward itself.
  • Global and per-user cooldowns are two independent gates. Global shares one timer across the whole channel; per-user is counted separately for each viewer. Both must pass.
