Chat translation automatically renders foreign-language messages into a language you read, and a command can translate a single line on demand. International viewers no longer have to choose between "nobody will understand" and saying nothing.
What it solves
When a viewer who doesn't share your language shows up, the usual outcome isn't misunderstanding — it's silence. They know you won't follow, so they don't type. Automatic translation removes that barrier: they write in their own language, you read the translation, and the interaction actually happens.
Getting started
- Enable the chat translation module.
- Choose the language to translate into.
- Optionally restrict the
source languages(all off = translate anything). - Add accounts you don't want translated (other bots, for instance) to the ignore list.
Common misconceptions

Messages starting with
!are never translated. That's deliberate — commands are written for the machine, and translating them only adds noise. - It only runs while you're live by default. Turn off "live only" and offline chat gets translated too. Whether that's worth it depends on how busy your offline chat is, since translation isn't free.
- The cooldown is a minimum interval to stop spam, not a delay on every message. Changing it from the default requires Pro.

Bopomofo recovery is a separate feature, not translation.
It repairs text typed with the wrong keyboard layout (for example
su3cl3→ 你好). That isn't a foreign language — it's an input method that wasn't switched. - Restricting source languages is about cost, not accuracy. All off means "translate any language"; selecting specific ones avoids misdetecting a language and translating something that didn't need it.

!trans— Use commands to translate messages.!trans-auto— Turn automatic translation on or off.!trans-ignore— Ignore the specified user's automatic translation and use translation commands.

- Messages are translated into this language.
- Automatically translate chat messages (commands starting with
!are skipped). - Restore text mistyped with the Zhuyin (Bopomofo) keyboard (e.g. “su3cl3” → “你好”).
- Restrict which languages are auto-translated. Leave all off to translate any language.
- These users are skipped for automatic translation.
- With Pro, a higher-quality translation engine is used for more natural, accurate results.
